Survival for the pilots

I want to share with the class a survival kit for world war two pilots in the pacific. It contains things such as medicine and water purification tablets. This kit was found in the locker of a airman after the war. This kit was important to the pilots because it helped them feel safe knowing that they had all the medicine and supplys they would need if they were to be shot down and sustained minor injuries. This relieved a small amount of the stress and enabled them to focus more on the mission. It also helped the familys of the pilots know that they would be ok even if they were shot down. It wasn't much help but it did result in a slightly calmer pilot which could have saved one of the pilots that was in a close situation.
