The life of the workers in textile factirys were horrible. The workers found that the best way to get through to the day was to sing. They sung about their sore fingers and long hours in sings they composed. They wored so much that they began to sew in thier sleep. They included a verse that told the consumers that they were not wearing a shirt they are wearing the life of the worker who put it together. The workers used songs to protest the facts that their entire families were working, to protest their long hours, and to protest the dirty work conditions. It got to a point that the workers said they no longer fear death.
